It is hot but funnily enough, I am finding it bearable. Sure, I spend most of my time indoors in air conditioned comfort but I am finding that I am handling the heat just fine. I guess too that this time last year I was pregnant with MissL.
Speaking of MissL, she is coming along just wonderfully. No crawling yet (a hot topic in this household), likes to sit surrounded by her toys and play. She does like to bend right forward and lie with her head on the ground then lift with her arms. She (surely!) couldn't be too far off crawling but in all honestly, I am loving this stage where she won't move!
The girl loves her food and is trying a lot of different things, which is always fun. (If only I didn't have to spend 10 minutes cleaning up after her!)
MissM finished school for the summer last week. She had a most brilliant year and her final report card home was better than excellent. She earned her shoes, which you may remember she was working towards.
We've been on 'School Holidays' for just about a week now. Only 11 weeks to go until MissM goes back and starts Grade One. No, I am not counting.
We are off to London though in a few weeks time to escape this heat and I am very much looking forward to seeing the big sister, enjoying a pint (or two) at a pub (or two), eating bacon in public, enjoying take outs, getting food delivered and just being away from this desert heat.
