TotSeat

There are two things I love when I'm out shopping.

#1. A good product (well made, looks good etc.,)

#2. A bargain.

Looking in one of the local Home Stores over here I came across something for MissL which I had been looking out for, for quite sometime. A TotSeat. Something you can strap your child onto a normal chair with. Scottish made and designed and on special from 88 dirhams to around 60 dirhams I couldn't pass it up. MissL and I roadtested it at home. It passed with flying colours.

I met MrL for lunch last week and we tested it out 'for real'. Somebody thought she was quite special (got lots of looks and smiles) and I'll look forward to using it again soon. Considering too that it folds up neatly into a small bag to pop in one's handbag, makes it even more appealing.

When In Rome...

...do as the Romans do, or in our case, what the Arabs do.

The six year old can speak pretty fluent Arabic if given the chance too. (It is taught at school and she's now into her second year of speaking the language - she is now even learning to write in Arabic. It's a funny language as they don't really have an alphabet - it is based on sounds. Very clever really, but there is no way I can understand or even begin to learn how to read in Arabic. In'shallah.)

Dare Devil

MissL has discovered MissM's 'Round Chair', we bought for MissM's 5th birthday from IKEA.

At first it was okay, MissL discovering the chair. She found it quite playful and comfortable and liked to be spun around slowly in it.

That was all fine with me until the day she did this;

I blamed MrL but he swears he didn't encourage the devil dare herself to enable such feats.

Now she spies the chair with it's little hood up and crawls all-motors-going to get herself into it and stand up. Urgh.

This time will pass.

Caught

Yeah so I am back. I am.

My blogging break was shorter than expected, but after much deliberation between me, myself and I, I came to the conclusion that I need to blog. I like to record things that I might not have remembered otherwise. I like rereading what was happening in my life a year ago, two years ago etc., It is a memento for me, MrL and MissM and MissL. I'm back blogging for me.

Life has been going ahead in leaps and bounds for us.

MissM is doing very well in school - its fabulous to hear her reading, spelling, counting by 2s to 100 etc., Tonight she starts Soccer training! (Yeah, call me 'Soccer Mom')

MissL is getting cuter and funnier by the day, she really is. She's about this far off walking now and is the owner of 12 pearly whites!

I have some Very Important Visitors coming over to visit in a couple of weeks time, that should be fun. There is a rumour that we will have some more in the first couple of months of 2011 too. Nice one.
