Arnott's Compulsive Disorder.
Can't help myself when I see a product or brand from home. If you lived where we do, you'd understand.

A Little Bit of Oz in Ab Dabs.
Thank goodness for Jones The Grocer. It gives you the feeling that you are walking into a cafe/store somewhere back in Australia. You just 'know' the food will be good, the tea will be delicious and the prices will be EXPENSIVE! *heehee* But you pay for quality and when you do convert the prices back to the Aussie Dollar, it is pretty much on par.
It is a great little place to buy some gourmet goods and to be honest, I don't really look at the prices - I just know what I buy for my fridge/pantry will be quality and delicious and so far, the items I have splurged on have been fab.
Today I dropped in, baby on hip, greeted by lovely Aussie accents, (ohhing and ahhing over MissL per usual), actually saw someone I knew (shock, horror), purchased one of the best and freshest baguettes in town, a tub of the most awesomely delicious Capsicum & Eggplant Pesto (made in the Melbourne suburb of Thornbury), went home and pigged out.
It is hard to beat fresh traditional ham, on baguette pieces spread with Jones The Grocer Cranberry sauce (*drool*) and then a couple of baguette pieces spread with a thick layer of fresh pesto. Delicious.
Having Jones The Grocer in the city, makes me feel more and more at home here in Abu Dhabi.
