It ends up there were more than one.
Dozens in fact.
Monet collected as many as she could, happily placing them in the trike's 'bucket' and rode around, taking them on a little ride until they flew off to their homes...
So in her Nanna and Poppy's garden there are many Ladybirds to be found. At her Grandma and Grandad's garden there are little fairies to be found. Including this big one...
Gee she looks happy doesn't she? *smirk*
In other news, guess who gets to spend the weekend in Melbourne (with friends) beginning tomorrow, without a little somebody??? Meeeeeee......yippeeeeeeee.......

You know we call them Ladybugs here in The States....And do you know that they are Very Very Good Luck? So, that is really wonderful that Monet found so very many...!
And Monet makes a darling Angel.....Such a cute costume.....!
And have a FABULOUS WEEKEND my dear.....I KNOW you are looking forward to this...lol!
OH MY GOD!! You are going to have a ball, that's so exciting. What have you planned? How will you fit it all into one weekend I'm wondering?!!!!!!
Love the new header !
The ladybugs are in *plague* proportions this year - in fact, funny you should mention them .. after trimming my roses yesterday, I googled them to see if they were harming the garden, and it turns out they are munching on my aphids - yay !
I've never seen so many in my life - they're everywhere !
bug collecting is so much fun when you are little. From the looks of the photo it is a lot more fun than fairy impersonating!
Ladybugs are so cute, something so appealing about them in real life or art form. Your little bug looks like she is ready to fly away home, too :) How's she coping with all the changes?
My daughter is way to much of a wuss to hold a ladybird! We think Monet makes a beautiful fairy :-)
Have a fabulous time in Melbourne
Ooh - child free time!!! i hope you had a ball!!!!
Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I have an award for you at my blog :-)
My oldest daughter had just commented this week that there are hundreds of ladybirds in the grass at school. There must be something about the conditions this year.
